24th Twinning Anniversary of Sister
cities Baguio & Vaughan
Commemorated by the Filipino Canadian Association of
Vaughan on Saturday, Nov 6, 2021, FCAV Board Members
and friends are joined by special guests Consul General
Orontes Castro, Regional and Local Councillor Gino Rosati,
Councillor Sandra Racco, Councillor Rosanna DeFrancesca,
Minister of Education and MPP Stephen Lecce, MPP Gila
Martow, MP Francesco Sorbara and MP Melissa Lantsman.
A message from Baguio City Mayor Benjamin Magalong
was broadcast. Requiring double vaccination report checks
at the door, with bento-boxed Filipino dishes, indigenous,
cultural dance and Arnis Filipino martial arts
performances, the event proved to be fun, festive, and
entertaining.
A welcome announcement by MPP Gila Martow at
the Twinning Anniversary was the successful
awarding of the Senior’s Community Grant to the
Filipino Canadian Association of Vaughan.
FCAV is pleased to announce the beginning of
zumba, arnis and line dancing programmes at the
Patricia Kemp Community Centre.
