DART 5

On Thursday, December 19, various Filipino organizations and media along with Sen. Enverga Jr., MP Mark Adler and others travelled to Trenton to welcome a contingent of 315 members of Canadian Forces Disaster Assistance Response Team (DART) who spent 40 days doing humanitarian work in typhoon-ravaged areas in central Philippines.

DART9

The DART Team did a great job in helping the victims of super typhoon Haiyan.  For the enormous tasks that the DART Team did and the generous aid that the Canadian government provided to the Philippines, not to mention the dollar-for-dollar match up, we can only speak from the bottom of our hearts to say over and over again: Thank you, Canada! Thank you, Prime Minister Harper! and Thank You, DART Team.

Dear Kababayan,

We need your support!
The City of Vaughan has granted us a 20 year lease of this building with a condition to raise 200,000 within a two-year period to renovate this building.

Many do not think that the Filipino Canadian community is able to afford maintaining a community center. That we lack political strength and are disunited.
Until now, there has been no reason, cause or goal that the Filipino Canadians in Vaughan could rally to support.
Now, we are asking for your help to build and establish the Filipino Canadian Cultural Centre of Vaughan – a lasting legacy that will benefit our children and generations to come.

  • A cultural centre that will help nurture and educate future generations our our cultural traditions, our traits and the values that distinguish us and make us strong as a people.
