Leadership Workshop<\/h3>\n

The Filipino-Canadian Association of Vaughan (FCAV) held a Leadership Foundation Workshop on November 4, 2023, Patricia Kemp Community Centre (PKCC), 7894 Dufferin St., Vaughan.<\/p>\n

The leadership foundation workshop was granted by the Ministry of Labor and skillfully conducted by Dr. Haniyeh Yousofpour and Prof. Sanjay J. Dhebar, of Leonnova Consulting and Training firm. The workshop was attended by members of the Filipino-Canadian Association of Vaughan (FCAV).<\/p>\n

The leadership course proved to be an invaluable experience, providing FCAV members with a comprehensive and insightful understanding of effective leadership practices.<\/p>\n

The engaging sessions, led by Dr. Yousofpour and Prof. Dhebar, highly-rated faculty members and experienced professionals, not only enhanced FCAV members’ leadership capabilities but also fostered a sense of unity within our association.<\/p>\n

As a result of this leadership course, members of the Filipino-Canadian Association of Vaughan have gained valuable insights that will undoubtedly contribute to their personal and professional development. The Filipino-Canadian Association of Vaughan is grateful to the Ministry of Labor for recognizing the importance of investing in leadership skills, and to Dr. Haniyeh Yousofpour and Prof. Sanjay J. Dhebar, for delivering a program that exceeded participants\u2019 expectations.<\/p>\n

Each attendee received a Certificate of Completion, $100 Stipend, Free Lunch and Refreshments, Free Resume and Interview Support and Access to Mental Health Support. There were thirty-seven (37) attendees including FCAV Board of Directors.<\/p>\n

FCAV extends its heartfelt gratitude to Hon. Michael Tibollo, Associate Minister of Mental Health & Addictions and MPP for Woodbridge-Vaughan, MPP Laura Smith of Thornhill and Parliamentary Asst. to the Minister of Tourism, Culture & Sport, and MPP Logan Kanapathi of Markham-Thornhill and Parliamentary Asst. to the Minister of Children, Community and Social Services – all involved in making this leadership foundation workshop a reality. It is initiatives like these that empower communities, strengthen organizations, and pave the way for a brighter future.<\/p>\n
